Sometimes a wine just let’s the medals do the talking. And Longview’s Vista Shiraz Barbera blend has got plenty to say…

95/100 (James Halliday’s Wine Companion)
Top 100 Wines of 2022 (James Halliday’s Wine Companion)
Gold medal (Adelaide Hills Wine Show)
Gold medal (Royal Perth Wine Show)
Gold medal (Sydney Royal Wine Show)
91/100 (Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front) – “This red blend hits the spots – and then some”
90/100 & Top Value Award (Stuart Knox, The Real Review) – “A stylishly medium weight shiraz”
90/100 (Erin Larkin, Robert Parker’s Advocate) – “The 2021 Vista Shiraz Barbera is juicy, bright and spicy…a lovely wine”

Yep, THREE Gold medals on the Aussie wine show circuit. A whopping 95 Point review from Australia’s top critic James Halliday. And the big kahuna – making the Top 100 Wines of 2022 list! And all for a snip under $20?! Outrageous!

From a near perfect 2021 Adelaide Hills vintage the crew at Longview describe their wine quite simply – “Blackberry. Cherry. Pepper. Bright. Juice. Savoury.” And they reckon it’s super with spag’bol!

This is a classy middleweight Shiraz (84%) with a 16% splash of the Barbera grape for its blackberry, licorice and herb characters.

Clearly impressed and adding it to his Top 100 of 2022 – Halliday loved its “red berry and licorice bouquet, dark chocolate even louder on the palate which is 50/50 per cent juicy and savoury.”

Any winery that gets a Halliday Top 100 listing has the phone running hot and demand through the roof. A small shipment has arrived into the NZ market and we took our share – but there won’t be enough to supply demand so get in quick.
