First produced in 2003 the Bin 8 is a Shiraz Cabernet blend, sometimes a Cabernet Shiraz blend depending on vintage, and is a classic Penfolds take on the classic Australian wine style that Penfolds has been championing around the globe since the 1960s.
Although Bin numbers were originally named after the original Bin location after bottling, Bin 8 got its name (and number) because it uses older oak that was previously used for other Bins 28, 128 and 389 with the lucky number 8 the common thread!
This is the latest 2024 release of Penfolds Bin 8 Shiraz Cabernet and as the Penfolds crew describe it – “Shiraz richness meets cabernet structure, medium bodied, balanced and rounded/complete.
