For just the sixth time the Elephant Hill Reserve Syrah has been let out of the traps. They’re pretty picky about when they do or don’t release anything under their Reserve label, in their own words “The 2016 vintage provided us with such conditions. Hand-picked at optimal ripeness from our vineyard in Gimblett Gravels, this Syrah can be cellared and enjoyed until at least 2030.”
Produced using grapes from their Gimblett Gravels vineyard, aged for 20 months in oak, this is a dense, concentrated Syrah with serious cellaring potential.
