The finest red that Brown Brothers produce. And it needs to be. It’s named after Patricia Brown, a legendary woman in this world famous winemaking family.

She was a devoted wife of John Charles Brown and loving mother to four boys. She juggled running a household, a business and travelling to promote the Brown Brothers name. There was no electricity in those days – she cooked on a wood stove, washed in a wood-fired copper and wrung clothes by hand!

This is a special wine in the hearts of everyone in the Brown family, which is why it has to pass the strictest of criteria to make it behind the Patricia label and only released in the most exceptional of vintages.

With a score of 96/100 by James Halliday, it’s fair to say Patricia would’ve approved of this! James goes on to say “Its power and intensity hit like a bullet, packed with pepper, spice, savoury jet black fruits and customised tannins. This could see out 50 years thanks to the length and balance of the powerhouse of fruit.”

Yep. That’s right. Cellaring potential of almost 50 years – incredible! A very special lady, a very special wine.
