We’re not just liking the Linke, we’re loving the Linke. Big, full-on, luxuriously velvety smooth, rich and opulent with a tonne of flavour. This has it all!
Warning – this Barossa number packs a punch at a whopping 15.7% alcohol. But you’d hardly tell given it slides down easier than a pair of velvet pants!
So who are they? Linke are a 5th generation German farming family who settled in the Barossa Valley. They’re 3rd generation grape growers and since 2002 have been produced their own label, Linke.
For 30 years they’ve been providing their fruit to the famous St Hallett’s winery and also to Langmeil since they started in the mid 90s. So there’s some quality fruit on show that’s for sure.
This label is produced from their Stonewall Block, from vines that are 21 years old. It’s given 18 months in American oak – which is what helps to give it its glorious velvety smooth, vanilla like characters. Delicious from whoa to go and worth every bean at this price!
