Undoubtedly up there with NZ finest Chardonnay producers, if not the best. If you disagree their trophy cabinet (being NZ’s most awarded winery it must be more like a large shed by now) has a thing or two to say about that.
Whatever they’re doing to their Chardonnay at that Keltern vineyard down in Hawke’s Bay, they’re on the money. Since ’08 this label has bagged a jaw dropping 13 Trophies plus an ever growing stash of 5 Stars and Gold medals (we lost count after 15!) Their 2016 hasn’t bucked the trend either, making its regular appearance in Cuisine magazine’s Top 10 NZ Chardonnay list plus an impressive Gold at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London.
An elegant, classy style with heaps of energy that’s sure to impressive any Chardonnay fan. It’ll develop and gain complexity over the years too, which is why you’ll need to grab a six pack. Open them gradually and enjoy until its peak cellaring time in 2024.
