It’s back and it’s done it again! A couple of years ago we brought in an exclusive shipment of this label that stunned the world by wnning Best In Show and listed as one of the “50 Best Wines in the World” at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London.

The latest 2024 vintage has gone and done it again – this time at the prestigeous International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London winning a Gold medal and 95/100 rating.

No wine wins Gold at this show without jumping plenty of hoops. In their own words the IWC judges describe it as “The world’s most thorough, cross-checked wine assessment. No shortcuts. No favourites. Every wine starts from zero….If your wine wins big here, it’s because they agreed it deserved to.”

From around 15,000 wines entered from 40 different countries across the globe – just 353 won a Gold (and only 29 Aussie reds) which is about 2.5% of all wines entered. Every wine is blind tasted and put to the test several times by Master Sommeliers, Masters of Wine, winemakers, senior buyers, sommeliers, critics, educators – “the most experienced tasting room on the planet.”

The judges in London said this about the 2024 release – “Such a happy wine! Pure, lively, crunchy with wild strawberry and raspberries. So much charm with some grainy spices and dried herb characteristics. Gorgeous drinkability.“

But here’s your heads up – this vintage has now sold out across the ditch and we secured a small stash of what we could before the sold out sign was hung up.

We’ve tried the wine…a few times….y’know just to be sure! Wow, what a simply incredible bottle of medium weight, luscious red thanks to the juicy, fragrant Grenache (61%), the rich McLaren Vale Shiraz (26%) and the succulent Mourvedre aka Mataro (13%).
