We’ve landed one-off shipment of a seriously, seriously good value Spanish red that scooped a stunning 95/100, a Gold medal AND a Value Gold Award at the world’s largest and most influential wine competitions – the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards in London.

Winning Gold and 95/100 at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London is a pretty bloody big deal – from over 19,000 wines entered a mere 4% of wines won Gold. This was one of them and joined just 84 other Spanish wines to win Gold and only a small fraction won Value Awards.

The Value Gold Award is given to Gold medal wines that scored 95/100 and retail under the £15 mark (approx NZD$35) – there were just 109 Top Value winners and this $20 bottle of red made the cut!

The judges at the DWWA said “Effusive raspberry, strawberry and cranberry syrup with a lick of mint to brighten and lift. Smooth with lively acidity and a lovely spicy finish which endures.”

Then throw in THREE more Gold medals from the international wine show circuit at the Challenge International du Vin, Mundus Vini and Berliner Wein Trophy competitions – you’re getting the idea, this is packing some serious value!

From the Navarra sub region of Spain (the only wine from this region to win Gold at Decanter!) it’s a blend of 60% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. A gorgeous medium to full bodied velvety red full of juicy, plush ripe red fruit and vanilla flavours thanks to 12 months in American and French oak before release.

Now with five years bottle age under its belt it’s drinking beautifully – and good to go for another couple of years yet!
