In 1996 Jim Barry purchased land that was the old Penola Cricket Ground in Coonawarra, South Australia. Jim planted 30 acres of Cabernet but left the original cricket pitch and pavillion in tact – good show old sport!

Medium bodied, smooth textured, approachable Cabernet made with fruit from the Coonawarra and Clare Valley regions. Some would say it’s got great line and length.

All packaged under a spiffingly smart label that wouldn’t look out of place alongside some of those toffees that watch cricket at Lords! A great all rounder, ready to play when you are but will wait patiently ready for action up to five years from vintage.

The ideal red to have alongside grilled or roasted red meat or game cuisine. Jolly good, now pop some in your cart would you there old chap?
