Coopers Creek Limeworks Chardonnay. The number one selling wine at the Coopers Creek cellar door and a massive hit year after year with our Chardonnay mad guzzlers. It ain’t hard to see why. The 2018 release is here and, just quietly, we reckon this is the best Limeworks release that we’ve seen in a long time. Possibly ever!
We’re not the only ones getting excited about it. Winemaker Simon Nunns said that this is“Some of the best fruit we have ever seen off our Limeworks Block” – while the panel selecting wine for Air New Zealand Business Class have picked Limeworks ’18 from over 500 submissions! Wow, that’s impressive.
Two of NZ’s local wine critics have also given this the big thumgs up…
93/100 (Bob Campbell MW)
“A smooth-textured wine, with a vibrant thread of thrilling acidity promoting a mouth-cleansing finish. Excellent value ($24.99)”
4 Stars (Michael Cooper, Winestate)
“If you like toasty, creamy, full-flavoured chardonnays, try this.”
Produced from their vineyard that sits right next door to a lime works (and the vineyard is strewn with limestone, thus the name!) this wine still received the usual Limeworks treatment with nine months in oak, producing their signature big, rich, mouth-filling style Chardonnay.
Wash your crayfish down with this little number! Not into crayfish? Well try full flavoured chicken or pork dishes.
