Coopers Creek Cook County Viognier

If you’re a lover of the deliciously rich, fragrant, hedonistic style of white you’re heading straight to Cook County! The wine that is, not the jail.

Although if you were wondering Coopers have named this one Cook County as this was what the whole East Cape region was known as back in the early 20th century – they source their grapes for this one from one of their reliable grape growers down there in Gizzy.

We love Viognier (pronounced Vee-On-Yay). It’s full bodied, rich, dry and great with food and doesn’t have that big acid bomb that Sauvignon Blanc is famous for. A great match to white meats (especially spicy Asian cuisine or anything in a rich, creamy sauce!), salads or even seared new season scallops!
