The Cee Vee, if you haven’t already figured it out, stands for Chardonnay Viognier. Those crazy buggers at Coopers Creek have blended 73% Chardonnay with 27% Viognier (it’s pronounced vee-on-yay) to craft this easy drinking, top value white blend. The Viognier has been partially blended in French oak and helps to add richness and weight to the blend.

This is actually the first release of this label since 2010  and the timing isn’t by accident. This is using fruit from Gisborne from a 2020 vintage that can only be described as an absolute belter, one of the best in recent times!

This is a juicy, succulent white that you’ll quite happily glug on its own – but it does pair quite nicely with fish, seafood, chicken and pork dishes.
