Ready…aim…FIRE! Shoot yourself into some Wirra Wirra Catapult Shiraz and land yourself some of this highly rated (and certified organic!) McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Produced by the bunch at the Wirra Wirra vineyard that can only be described as a bit nuts. They’ve honoured the late and legendary McLaren Vale wine figure Greg Trott by naming a wine after a vision he had of creating a catapult to sling bottles of yummy McLaren Vale reds over to neighbouring vineyards. What a nutter!
This latest 2023 vintage won a Gold medal at the NZ International Wine Show 2025 as well as 91/100 from The Real Review’s Stuart Knox who called it “Dense and powerful but doesn’t overbear the palate…A lot of bang for buck and will offer cellaring rewards.”
