Forget it Romeo, Juliet’s the one we want. Especially if you like your Riesling a touch on the sweeter side you’re going to fall in love with this perfectly balanced medium/dry style that has deservedly wooed so many wine judges and critics since its release.
Two Rivers Juliet Riesling from the 2025 vintage is yet another cracker for this label and backed by a whopper 5 Stars & 96/100 score with The Wine Orbit’s Sam Kim.
Sam said “Pure and precise, the wine reveals lemon pith, crisp apple, white flower, and wet-limestone characters on the nose. The palate displays fine focus and concentration, complemented by refined texture, whispering sweetness, and beautifully pitched acidity, making it wonderfully harmonious and structured with a sustained, engaging finish. Style: Off-dry. At its best: 2027 to 2037.”
Dave Clouston’s the man behind the Two Rivers label. Dave grew up on the banks of the Awatere and Wairau Rivers (thus the name) so he’s a Marlborough man through and through. Dave reckons Juliet is a great aperitif (slightly chilled of course) or paired with seafood or spicy Asian cuisine.
