On the southern banks of Marlborough’s Awatere Valley are three steeply stepped, sun-baked terraces which inspired the name of a farm called Triplebank. These days Triplebank is the home of vineyards producing Awatere Valley wines full of flavour and character.
This is their Triplebank Rosé made from some of those Awatere Valley Pinot Noir grapes – and it’s a beauty!
It won the Trophy for Champion Rosé at the National Wine Awards of Aotearoa NZ 2025! The judges said “Blossom aromatics with a red fruit core, slightly spicy on the palate with good fruit concentration and palate weight. Nicely balanced with a fresh, full-flavoured finish.”
Like all Rosé it’s best served nicely chilled and paired with white meats, seafood and salads. But being a Pinot Noir Rosé it’ll also pair nicely with meats like parma ham and cheese.
