It’s here! The Aussie Shiraz that took the world by storm, made global headlines and is now recognised as one of the “50 Best Wines in the World” from the world’s largest and most influential wine competitions – the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards in London.

But here’s your heads up – with stock extremely limited and global demand through the roof it’s been tightly allocated from the cellar door over across the ditch and we’ve secured a small stash that simply is not enough to meet demand. This won Best In Show with a 97/100 rating which is an absolutely incredible achievement! Winning Best In Show at the DWWA is no easy road that’s for sure. After joining over 18,000 other wines they are then awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze –  the rest are shown the door! Then the best of the best go toe-to-toe to determine the Platinum award winners. THEN, the Platinum award winners go to head-to-head to discover the overall Best In Show winners, the top 50 wines from the entire competition.

Or let’s put it another way – top 50 from over 18,000 is just 0.002% of all wines entered got a Best In Show Award!

The judges at the DWWA in London had this to say. “Remarkably, out of the 29 reds from Australia that we’ve found for the Best in Show selections over the last decade, none have yet come from Victoria – so a big welcome to this Shiraz from Heathcote. It’s dark red in colour and very lively in aroma, with lots of red fruits in peppery, spicy style. On the palate, too, the wine is boisterous and fresh, softly balanced and very pure-fruited. Intriguingly, the spice seems to pull back once the wine is in the mouth; with the warmth of the tongue you’ll find compelling floral notes emerge. Grace, charm, poise and freshness, with a deftly folded and gratifyingly discreet tannin-acid balance: the craftsmanship of this wine conveys a strong sense of natural articulation and an unforced celebration of outstanding raw materials. Congratulations to Victoria and to Heathcote, and well done, too, to the team behind this deft and satisfying wine.”

Using fruit from a single vineyard site in the heart of the Heathcote sub region, aged 16 months in oak this is a deep, dark coloured and full flavoured with ripe berry and spice flavours. Extremely limited stocks of this world class red!
