Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir Rose is the secondary label of Central Otago’s Mt.Difficulty and named after a local stream. Far out, not another wine named after a bloody stream, river or tree! In fact this stream and the one that neighbours it, Gentle Annie, actually get their name from two young ladies that “serviced” the area back in the late 1800s when gold mining in Central Otago was thriving.

Young men headed to the region in search of fortune. Meg and Annie were two ladies of the night that provided the guys with an after hours service! Roaring Meg, what a nickname. Need we say more?

If Meg and Annie were still around there’s almost no doubt those cheeky (in more ways than one) lasses would be slurping back on a glass (or bottle) or two of this one. Bright, fresh, juicy summery berry fruit flavours with a dryish finish. Screaming to served nicely chilled with a cheeky summer salad.
