Mesta Organic Tempranillo

Produced with Spain’s number one grape, Tempranillo (temp-rah-knee-oh) from organically farmed vineyards in the La Mancha region, central Spain. There’s no oak ageing going on in Mesta Organic Tempranillo – this is all about the pure, juicy, vibrant red berry fruit flavours. It even has a Kiwi connection with NZ Master of Wine Sam Harrop lending a hand with the winemaking.

But what’s with all the sheep on the label? The vineyard sits on land that used to be controlled by a powerful medieval gang of…sheep ranchers!

Yep, “The Mesta” as they were known passed through the land with their flocks in tow. To this day the annual mass migration of these fluffy Spanish sheep can still be spotted on this land.
