La Vieille Ferme Rose – aka ‘The Old Farm’ – is the house rosé of top Rhone Valley producer Famille Perrin. They’re famous for Château de Beaucastel, a family-owned biodynamic wine estate located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and they’ve also worked with Hollywood star Brad Pitt on his Miraval Rosé label.

Or if the name, winery and estate is all a bit much to pronounce and remember just go with what most wine drinkers around the world call it – “the chicken wine”. Why? Well, because it’s got a picture of a chicken on the front and that’s much easier to remember!

Already a super popular label in UK supermarkets and wine shops – a few years ago “the chicken wine” went viral on social media with wine guzzlers up and down the country posting photos online of their chicken wine at summer BBQs, in back gardens and at summer soirées!

When you’re banging out wines in the volumes that Famille Perrin do (around 30-40 million bottles per year!) then you’re at the size and scale where even your entry level, house-style is absolutely cracking value for money. In their own words – “Since 1970, La Vieille Ferme has been producing authentic, honest and tasty wines vintage after vintage. In some of the world’s best restaurants and bars, La Vieille Ferme has been acknowledged as one of the best value for money wines in the world.”

La Vieille Ferme Rose isn’t one of the UK’s top selling Rosés for no reason! It ticks all the boxes – it’s affordable, it’s well made, it’s crisp and dry and fresh and deliciously easy to drink…

“Affectionately known as “The Chicken Wine” thanks to the little rooster on the front, this is exactly what inexpensive rosé should be. It’s dry, juicy and quaffable, a total porch-pounder, as the kids these days like to say” – Forbes

“By now I think we are all familiar with Vieille Ferme pink and the good news is that it tastes just as good out of a box as it does out of a bottle. Fresh and uplifting, like white peaches and hay with a mouth-watering wash of lemon zest.” – The Daily Telegraph
