There’s plenty going on up in these hills, the Kirrihill’s that is. This is a label that’s been flying high over the last few years and not just because their vineyards are 500 metres above sea level!
With a swag of over 500 awards since their first release 15 years ago these guys have been gaining a big rep as a top class Clare Valley producer and definitely one to keep an eye on.
Great value Clare Valley Cabernet for under $20, in fact it’s been a firm favourite around here for the past few years and this latest 2019 vintage has done it again with Gold at the Clare Valley Wine Awards! As well as a 92/100 score with The Real Review – where it was also selected as a Top Value wine and a Top Ranking Cabernet!
A medium bodied style with dark red fruit and plum flavours with a touch of spice. Good to go now or enjoy it over the next five years – best paired with roast or grilled red meats (especially lamb) and game meats like venison.
