Joseph Drouhin started making Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in France in the 1880’s. It’s still family owned and now run by his grandchildren today and they strongly believe in sustainable and organic grape growing. We call them French hippies.
Laforêt (pronounced "la-fo-ray") Chardonnay is hand picked from the Burgundy region in France and is a pretty awesome entry level Chardonnay. You’d normally have to fork out $50 plus on a French Chardonnay (or white burgundy as they say).
It’s fresh, crisp and minerally with a touch of citrus. Drink it now, lightly chilled as a pre dinner tipple or with a simple seafood dishes.
