of the highest in the
Clare Valley at 480m. If
you thought those heights are
dizzy check out this – 4 yes FOUR
shiny Gold medals to its name here in NZ and in Oz!

Jim Barry purchased the 329 acre Lodge Hill vineyard back in 1977. He was convinced it would produce some of the best Riesling in the Clare Valley. A couple of years later he planted Shiraz at Lodge Hill and this has gone on to be a bit of a star performer for them!

This latest 2022 rerelease is yet again bang on the money – it is one seriously delicious glass of Clare Valley red with an incredible FOUR Gold medals to its name…

Gold medal (NZ Int’l Wine Show 2024)
Gold medal (Royal Hobart Wine Show 2024)
Gold medal (Perth Royal Wine Show 2024)
Gold medal (Royal Sydney Wine Show 2024)
4 1/2 Stars & Ranked #4 Best Australian Shiraz (Cuisine magazine 2025)

The Cuisine judges said “Youthful and bright with high-toned ripe, dark fruit with a dash of bright red-fruited freshness on the nose. The palate is plump and approachable with a lovely concentrated fruit weight counterbalanced by bright acid that gives this wine a lifted finish.”

Drink now to 2030.
