Barossa Shiraz aged in whiskey barrels? Are ya nuts?!
What started off as a crazy wine experiment has now hit its seventh vintage in a row for Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz. What started with rich, ripe Shiraz from Barossa vineyards was first aged in traditional American oak barrels before selected parcels being finished in Scottish whiskey barrels!
All that talk of oak and barrels doesn’t paint the real deal – this wine’s all about the fruit. We’re talking sweet red fruits and dark chocolate flavours – a medium bodied, smooth, dry red. Delicious now and good to drink between 2021-2026.
Try it with a pan seared scotch fillet!
