Ribbit Ribbit…hiccup. That’s the sound of the Southern Bell Frog that you might find in the wetland that neighbours the Grove Mill winery down there in Marlborough.
Grove Mill built the wetland back in the late 80s (before doing good stuff for the environment was “cool”) as part of their commitment to sustainable wine growing. They take sustainability seriously. From using lightweight recycled NZ glass bottles to labels produced from sugarcane (a highly renewable material that utilises an abundant by-product) to the winery being powered by over 300 solar panels.
This latest 2025 vintage is a yet another beauty with a Double Gold medal at the NZ International Wine Show 2025 – meaning every senior judge awarded it a Gold medal score! It’s also the second year running this label’s won Gold at NZ’s largest wine competition.
