Greatness takes time. Around four years ought to do it. Grandeza (which means ‘greatness’ in Spanish) is a Tempranillo (85%) and Syrah (15%) blend made from old vine fruit (10-30 years old) and bottle aged for four years at the winery before release. What you’re getting here for the money is just cracking value for money!

From the central plains of Spain, this part of the world has hot, dry summers and cold winters which helps to create ripe grapes full of flavour. Now with several years unders its belt this little beauty has developed into a nicely aged, highly drinkable, mellow and smooth Spanish red full of vanilla and sweet spice flavours.

Scoring 90/100 with Cam Douglas MS who said “There’s something familiar and comforting about a wine like this, aromas and flavours of ripe red berries and dried fruits, prune and vanilla, plum compote and leather, Winter and a wine to go with comfort food.”
