Theo, Alex and Marcel are the brothers at Giesen. They’ve got good wine in their blood. And good food. And beer too actually. That’s because their granddad August (aw-goost) was a sommelier, and their great granddad Leonard Kaiser was a brewer!

Giesen The Brothers Sauvignon Blanc is Giesen’s “Reserve” range with super talented winemaker Nikolai St George (a brother from another mother) steering the ship. Formerly making kick ass wine at Matua, Nikolai took out Winemaker of the Year recently at the Royal Easter Wine Awards – the fourth time he’s won it in major NZ wine shows! So they’re in good hands that’s for sure.

Nikolai and the Giesen crew have used fruit from the Awatere Valley sub region of Marlborough to craft this classic mouth-wateringly, aromatic, zingy style Sauv. The brothers recommend this one with a summer tomato salad with fresh basil. Don’t forget good old fresh kai moana pairs perfectly with crisp, zingy Marlborough SauvyB!
