A relative new comer on the Central Otago wine scene, produced on land that was originally an apricot orchard and a vineyard that is right next to a good old Kiwi camping ground, this is a wine label that has been getting the hearts racing in a relatively short space of time.
Their 2013 Sauvy has left a number of jaws hitting the floor (including a lot of ones in Marlborough) as this Central Otago Sauvy took out the top spot in Cuisine Magazine’s 2014 Sauvignon Blanc tasting.
The Cuisine judges were all over this wine, calling it "irresistible, mouthfilling…it is a generous, flowing wine that would be a fine match for whitebait fritters"
Quite simply it’s the Sauvignon to get your hands on this summer and with pretty thin stocks available you need to be grabbing your stash now!
On their recent Down Under the Royals (Will and Kate) were snapped swinging by this upcoming Otago star winery to swirl back a glass or two – definitely fit for a king!
