Te Koko – the original name for Cloudy Bay (it’s actually Te Koko-o-Kupe). They’re the name that put Aotearoa on the world wine map back in the day.
This is a wine of real class and an alternative take on the classic Marlborough Sauvy style. Produced in small quantities, Te Koko is released as a three year old matured wine that has been aged in French oak barrels.
A full bodied, complex and savoury white that will well and truly impress at the next dinner party! Just quietly Cloudy Bay winemaker Tim Heath is pretty excited by this ’13 release, he said “The 2013 Te Koko is a complex and textural expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc; it is a wine to watch.”
Te Koko matches superbly with seafood and is absolutely divine with freshly shucked oysters. Go on, you know you want to!
