“Looking for a good affordable Syrah?” asked Winestate magazine in a recent Syrah 2018 tasting. Well, look no further than Coopers Creek Syrah.

This entry level Coopers Creek Syrah from Hawke’s Bay has a track record of delivering the goods at a more than reasonable price. A Triple Silver medal winner, judges said about this one “With its full, bright, youthful colour and plummy, peppery aromas, this is a clearly varietal red. Medium-bodied, it is vibrantly fruity, with good depth of spicy flavours and gentle tannin.”

Here’s a little insider info – the majority of the fruit that goes into this one is from the prized Gimblett Gravels region of Hawke’s Bay. Just the ticket with lamb, venison, beef and game.
