There’s Gold in them ‘thar hills. Well, creeks actually. Coopers Gold by Coopers Creek – it’s their super rich sticky (dessert wine) made from some of their favourite Gizzy Chardonnay grapes.
This is their 2017 release and in the words of name sake critic Michael Cooper it’s “Simple but delicious, this Gisborne wine was made from chardonnay grapes, partly freeze-concentrated. Sweet, vibrant and peachy, with low alcohol (9.5%), it is crisp, lively and flavoursome, with instant appeal.”
The last one was still drinking well a decade later, they reckon this one might follow suit!
A super sweet, rich style sticky that needs a seriously rich, luscious pudding to go with it. A crème brulee should do the trick!
