Wine lovers across the globe trip over themselves to get their mits on a bottle or two of this world class Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This new 2024 release will not disappoint one bit. We’ve emptied a couple of bottles already and boy this is some seriously good SauvyB, as always. Think of it as the Maserati of Marlborough Sauv. It’s why Bob Campbell’s given the previous 9 of the previous 11 vintages of this label a whopping 95/100. What pressure?!
This 2025 release is a vintage the Cloudy Bay team called “Sauvignon Blanc 2025: Patience, rewarded.”
The Cloudy Bay winemaking team went on to say “Normally, harvest at Cloudy Bay is a whirlwind of unrelenting action, but nature had other plans for 2025. For Sauvignon Blanc, that patience proved essential. The vines carried the largest bunches in memory, and the ripening process was prolonged. Waiting, tasting, and holding our nerve made all the difference. The result is a wine that shows just what patience can achieve: the bright, expressive, and beautifully poised Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2025.”
A few years ago Cloudy Bay launched their wines in newly redesigned, bespoke bottles. In true Cloudy Bay style what you’re holding in your hand is pretty special! Yang Shen, Cloudy Bay Estate Director, says “We wanted to further embrace the beautiful Richmond Ranges that can be seen from our winery, and which were such a core part of the original Cloudy Bay label.”
