The Clarks are a true Kiwi owned and operated winery down in Marlborough. Peter and Jane Clark planted their vineyard in Marlborough over 25 years ago.
These days it’s a family affair with son Simon the head winemaker and daughter Sarah running the marketing, sales, exports, logistics and customer service (in her words – “pretty much everything else!”).
This 2021 release is just yet another beauty by these guys. On top of a swag of glowing awards and reviews (including a Gold medal at the National Wine Awards of Aotearoa NZ!) it also scored 93/100 with Master of Wine Bob Campbell, who also awarded it a Top Value Award.
Bob said “Reasonably punchy sauvignon blanc, with classic passionfruit, capsicum, gooseberry and guava flavours supported by ripe, restrained acidity that gives a pleasantly dry and lengthy finish. A charming wine.”
