Choo Choo – all aboard! That’s how Ciù Ciù is pronounced and is a nod to the owner’s Grandfather who used to be a signalman on the local railways – an important transport link shipping people…and wine!
And in a clever twist Ciù Ciù is also local dialect for ‘Drink! Drink!’ – which is exactly what you’ll be wanting to do after the first sip of this bone-dry, organic Italian white from Falerio in the Marche region on Italy’s eastern coast. As the world famous wine critic Jancis Robinson says “The Marche on Italy’s Adriatic coast is better than most regions at offering Italian value, balance and personality in both reds and whites.”
Ciu Ciu Oris is an organically produced blend of Trebbiano, Passerina and Pecorino grapes. Look out for flavours of crisp apple, lychee, pear and a even a bit of honey on the finish. And yes, it’s bone-dry if that’s how you like your whites!
Serve nicely chilled and pair with seafood, light pasta dishes and fresh cheeses.
