Cape Mentelle Chardonnay

Nothing short of world class Chardy from Western Australia! Cape Mentelle are on the south-western end of the sunburnt country in the famous Margaret River region and are the big brother winery to NZ’s very own Cloudy Bay.

Brothers David, Mark and Giles Hohnen formed this legendary premium producer (funnily enough named after the nearby cape with the same name) in 1970 and in 1985 started Cloudy Bay in Marlborough.

Rich, long and complex – sure to woo any serious Chardonnay lover. If you’ve got the patience you can chuck this one in the cellar until 2024. For the ideal food match you simply can’t go past fresh seafood, like scallops seared in butter. Drooling much right now?
