These guys are fast becoming rock stars on the Central Otago Pinot scene!
You may be familiar with their popular Brennan B2 Pinot that took out a Gold at the Air NZ Wine Awards? Well wait until you get your hands on its big brother!
They often hold back their top wines for two or three years, releasing them when they’re drinking at their best. It’s the sort of thing you can do when you’re small and family owned without the corporate accountant breathing down your neck.
This is their latest 2014 release and they weren’t actually intending on releasing it just yet until they found out it had smashed it in Cuisine magazine’s annual Pinot Noir tasting scoring 5 Stars and making it into the Top 10! In fact, it was voted No.2 overall in a line-up of some heavy hitting Pinot producers and pipping the likes of Akarua, Quartz Reef, Nautilus, Valli and Rockburn.
It also took out (not for the first time at this show) Gold at the International Wine Challenge in London. AND it got Trophy for best Gibbston Pinot Noir.
We could waffle on about how bloody good this wine is but it’s pointless – if you don’t like it send it back and well refund your money and finish the bottle for you! But be quick they only made 700 cases! This wine deserves the best food you can rustle up – game, duck, rabbit or venison.
