Black Cottage Syrah

When super talented winemaker Dave Clouston isn’t busting a gut crafted incredibly awesome wine (you might also know him from his Two Rivers of Marlborough wine labels) you might find him hanging out at his favourite pad – The Black Cottage! It’s where Dave kicks back and relaxes with friends and whanau. No doubt over a glass or two of Black Cottage Pinot Gris.

This is the Black Cottage Syrah 2020 vintage. It was a cracker vintage in the Hawke’s Bay and it shows with this one picking up Gold medals at both the NZ International Wine Show and New World Wine Awards.

Using fruit from the Bridge Pa Triangle sub region of Hawke’s Bay and aged 10 months in French oak. This is your classic Hawke’s Bay Syrah – a plush, medium bodied red with plum and blue fruit flavours a touch of pepper and spice!
