When super talented winemaker Dave Clouston isn’t busting a gut crafted incredibly awesome wine (you might also know him from his Two Rivers of Marlborough wine labels) you might find him hanging out at his favourite pad – The Black Cottage! It’s where Dave kicks back and relaxes with friends and whanau. No doubt over a glass or two of Black Cottage Rose.
A while back Dave spent a bit of time in Corsica, an island off the south-east coast of mainland France. He fell in love with the place – and the wine! He brought back a few handy tricks on crafting French style Rosé. We’re talkin’ fresh, crisp, dry and salmon pink in colour.
While you’ll enjoy busting Black Cottage Rose out of the fridge on pretty much any occasion (do you really need an excuse?) these are the styles of wine that are just asking to be enjoyed on a sweltering hot summer’s arvo on the deck with antipasto or light salads and lunches!
