You might know Coopers Creek as the winery based out in Auckland’s western suburb of Kumeu. They actually have vineyards dotted all around NZ (as well as on site there in Kumeu) including down the line in Marlborough, where they get the grapes for this Gold medal winning 2018 vintage Riesling.

We bloody love Riesling and so does Simon, winemaker behind this release. “Riesling is the most versatile of all wines – an excellent refreshing aperitif and a great match to many food styles, from light salad based meals to spicy ethnic dishes and richer foods.”

It took out a Gold medal at the New World Wine Awards with the judges absolutely loving it. “Fragrant notes of lemons and limes with subtle orange peel and honeysuckle, it’s beautifully framed by whispering sweetness with a vibrant finish, making it mouth-watering and super tasty.”

Usually selling for over $17 per bottle direct at the winery, we’ve scooped a beauty of a deal to get this one down to an incredible $12.99! It’s an absolute no brainer at this price and with four years bottle age under its belt it’s drinking superbly.

Slightly lower in alcohol at just 11.5% and full of zesty citrus and apple fruit flavours made in an off-dry style meaning it’s got a touch of sweetness. A delicious bargain at this price!
