It’s why they’re a member of the Australia’s First Families of Wine, the 12 founding family owned wineries across the ditch, and why for as long as we can remember this has been one of the most reliable, bang for your buck labels.
We reckon Taylors must be a little bit mad putting quality rich, lucious, medium to full bodied Shiraz under their moderately priced Taylors Estate Shiraz label. They win an insane number of Gold medals around the globe every vintage.
The 2023 release has seen Taylors use a blend of fruit from the Clare Valley and the Limestone Coast, another well known sub region in South Australia, and aged 12 months in oak before release. One of (if not THE) most awarded Aussie Shiraz on the circuit over the years. Seriously, this label has had an addiction to the bling!
Pair this style red with big red meat dishes – steaks, sausages, spicy pizzas or go with the Taylor’s recommendation of garlicy Kangaroo meatballs – if you can get your hands on a pair!
