Lights, camera…Grigio!
Ziobaffa is the wine collaboration of Californian filmmaker Jason Baffa who travels the world making films about his other love in life after films and wine…surfing!
Baffa is the man behind successful surfing movies “Singlefin: yellow,” “One California Day” and award winning “Bella Vita” filmed in various parts of Italy. While on tour with surfer-environmentalist Chris Del Moro and fifth generation winemaker Piergiorgio Castellani they shared many moments of good food, great wine (the odd practical joke!) and of course shredded a few waves along the way. Known for his friendly, down to earth (and occasionally cheeky!) nature the local surfers nicknamed him Zio Baffa aka Uncle Baffa.
Using Pinot Grigio grapes from hillside vineyards surrounded by the Mediterranean sea on the beautiful Italian island of Sicily. This is a style of Grigio that’s a little more rich and full bodied than the typical lighter style from northern Italy.
It’s certified organic, bottled and labelled with bio-safe materials and packaged with the the new Helix re-usable cork seal.
You’ll want to enjoy it nicely chilled and it makes a gnarly pair with white meats, fish, pasta and soft cheeses.
