"Complexity of old oak married to ripe shiraz fruit that makes for satisfying drinking"

Yalumba Paradox Shiraz

2019, Barossa Valley Australia
  • Rich and powerful Shiraz from the northern part of the Barossa Valley
  • Aged 18 months in French oak
  • Home of some of the Barossa's oldest landscapes with 200 million year old bedrocks forming the soil in which the grape vines grow
  • 94/100 & Top Rank Award (Ralph Kyte-Powell, The Real Review) - "Complexity of old oak married to ripe shiraz fruit that makes for satisfying drinking"
  • "As you might expect from its name, the Paradox Shiraz is not what you would expect from a wine from the warmest parts of the northern Barossa Valley. It's a softer, more gentle, velvet-like and savoury style of wine" (Yalumba)

“I can resist anything but temptation” – Oscar Wilde

Here’s a Paradox you’ll definitely find hard to resist. This is the very classy Yalumba Paradox Shiraz from the northern part of the Barossa Valley. This is home of some of the Barossa’s oldest landscapes with 200 million year old bedrocks forming the soil in which the grape vines grow.

This is a gorgeous old vine Barossa Shiraz, aged 18 months in French oak puncheons, loaded to the gunnels with dense, dark fruit flavours, dark chocolate and spice!

Drink now or chuck it in the cellar and watch it evolve – this should be good to cellar up to 20 years from vintage.
