Two Paddocks Pinot Noir Rose

Two Paddocks is the “The Fine Wine & Cheering Up Business” of famous NZ actor Sam Neill.

The First Paddock was Sam’s first vineyard – 4.6 hectares of 100% Pinot Noir planted in Central Otago’s Gibbston Valley in 1993. These days he’s got The Last Chance (Earnscleugh), Red Bank Farm & Vineyard (Alexandra Basin) and The Fusilier (Felton Road, Bannockburn).

In their own words they’re “A very very small company, utterly obsessed with Pinot Noir. And Riesling. And with great pride – organics, quality, authenticity, detail and style. Having said all that, we don’t take ourselves at all seriously – the seriousness we leave to our SERIOUS wines.”

This is the 2025 vintage of the Two Paddocks Pinot Noir Rosé (a favourite of the Proprietor – that was Sam) and it’s what they say is “a fresh, dry, cerise expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir with a textural depth that works well with food. Estate grown and hand harvested from The Fusilier, Bannockburn Vineyard and The Last Chance, Alexandra Vineyard”

Scoring 4 1/2 Stars with Michael Cooper in the NZ Listener – he said “This attractive wine was hand harvested at Alexandra and Bannockburn. Bright pink, it is fresh and smooth flowing, with watermelon, strawberry and gentle spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy, balanced acidity and a dry finish.”

Certified BioGro organic this is good to go now or cellar for up to 6-7 years from vintage.
