A Double Gold is awarded when the chief judge, assistant chief judges and senior judging panel in the competition awards a wine a Gold medal score. This is the quintessential Aussie red blend of south Australian Shiraz (75%) and Cabernet (25%) that’s full bodied, rich, luscious, flavour packed red. It’s signature style JohnnyQ taken to the next level.

Scoring 91/100 with James Suckling who said “A vivid, well-rounded and generously fruited blend of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon…a dense and generous core of berries and sweet spices and a chocolaty
finish.”

The man himself JohnnyQ says of this one – “Full bodied wine with dense ripe berry fruit flavours of cherries and black currants balanced with spicy oak having a long and smooth finish. Serve with a red wine casserole or a juicy steak with red onion jam. This wine has the flavour; structure and balance to be enjoyed now or offers added satisfaction from further cellaring.”
