Trophy Champion Pinot Noir & Gold medal (New World Wine Awards 2023)
“Stoneleigh of Marlborough regularly shines in the New World Wine Awards and this Champion Pinot Noir is a cracker! Their Wild Valley wine takes a walk on the wild side using natural microflora for fermentation. Inviting and complex, it is bursting with vibrant red fruit, floral charm, subtle spice, and alluring oak at the finish. Delicious with seared salmon or roast duck.”

92/100 & listed in “Top Value pinot noir $25 and under” (Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review)
“Bright, vibrant pinot noir with black cherry, plum, fresh herb and subtle spice and anise flavours. Well-made wine with good varietal definition. Very good value at this price.”

This is the expression of wine they called minimal intervention, which might sound lazy but it’s actually all about letting nature do most of the work! After picking grapes from their vineyards in Marlborough’s Rapaura district, they fermented a portion of the grapes using the wild-flora that naturally occurs in the Rapaura environment, making the wines richer with more texture and a smoky, toasty element.

Pair it up with duck, lamb, venison or salmon dishes and drink now to 2026.
