Sorry, this deal is sold out.

A great buy on this single vineyard Central Otago Pinot. With the price of pretty much everything going up finding half decent sub-$20 Central Pinots ain’t easy. Selling for $26 direct at the winery, this is a one-off hot buy we were able to hook in to.

South River are the winery and their vineyard is located in Tarras, on the banks of the Clutha River, next door to the famous Canyon vineyard. It’s crafted by one the region’s top winemakers, Anthony Wurch. He’s a Frenchman now settled in Otago and the man behind the award winning wines from Tarras The Canyon, Kuru Kuru and previously spent a bit of time with the crew at Peregrine.

Not so long ago these guys provided fruit to the likes of Chard Farm, the winery that produce Rabbit Ranch as well as a series of premium, single vineyard Pinots.

It’s all hand picked, single vineyard fruit, barrel aged in French oak. This latest ’22 release offers great bang for buck for a Central Pinot at this price.

Pinot of this quality has good aging potential and we reckon this will cellar comfortably for around 5-6 years from vintage.
