These guys are one of Central’s original grape growers dating back to 1973 and name their wines after the iconic bridge (yes, it’s a bit shaky) in the nearby town of Alexandra.
This is their top tier Shaky Bridge Artisan Reserve Pinot Gris from the 2024 vintage, made in a complex and dry style and it really is a beauty!
The Shaky Bridge crew describe it as “Our top Artisan Reserve Pinot Gris is beautifully fruited and elegantly fragrant, the bouquet shows white fleshy stone fruit, poached pear, rockmelon and white floral aromas, followed by a succulent palate delivering fleshy texture and juicy acidity. The wine is attractively composed and highly enjoyable.”
