A jaw dropping price-drop on this top class Marlborough wine that critic Michael Cooper says “This is one of the region’s most sophisticated, subtle and satisfying Sauvignons Blancs…. It’s also one of the most important, given its widespread international distribution and certified BioGro status.”

Due to tough trading conditions this internationally famous white has been deep-cut discount to a staggering $14.99 – it’s selling in market right now for up to $28 per bottle with most online retailers sitting around the $26 per bottle mark. Mark our words – this Sauvignon Blanc is an absolute class act with 10% Semillon in the blend and 10% of the wine aged in seasoned French oak casks.

Michael Seresin was Director of Photography on blockbuster movies such as Bugsy Malone, Midnight Express, City Hall and even some of the Harry Potter movies. These days Michael Seresin spends his time making blockbusters in the vineyard.

Think organics and wine and Seresin springs to mind. They have an almost obsessive approach to organically, hand crafted wine. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically. That means soils are fed with animal manure, weeds and pests are consumed by cows, horses and chickens, and spraying vine leaves with teas made from local herbs and minerals.

This is their classy 2023 Sauvignon Blanc that they describe as “A truly thoughtful and classy expression of Sauvignon Blanc.” The critic reviews are in and, as you’d expect, it’s thumbs up all round…

5 Stars (Michael Cooper)
‘This is one of the region’s most sophisticated, subtle and satisfying Sauvignons Blancs. It’s also one of the most important, given its widespread international distribution and certified BioGro status. The wine (which includes Sémillon – 10 per cent in 2023) is estate-grown in the Raupo Creek Vineyard, and mostly fermented in tanks with use of indigenous yeasts, but part of the blend (10 per cent in 2023) is fermented and lees-aged in seasoned French oak casks. Bright, light lemon/green, the 2023 vintage (4.5*) is fresh and medium-bodied, with strong, ripe, tropical fruit flavours, showing considerable complexity, and a dry (0.8 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Crisp and savoury, it should be at its best mid-2024+.’

93/100 & Top Value Award (Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review)
“Rich, weighty and tangy with a pleasing texture and flavours that suggest green capsicum, lime juice, cut grass and passionfruit supported by assertive acidity which helps drive a lengthy, drying finish. Drink 2024-2027”

5 Stars, 93/100 (Sam Kim)
“Restrained with poise and elegance, the wine shows white flesh nectarine, basil, green tea and lemon zest aromas, leading to a beautifully weighted palate that’s finely flowing and lively. Delightfully textured and structured with a persistent elegant finish. Certified organic. At its best: now to 2030.”

93/100 & Special Value Award (James Halliday’s Wine Companion)
“A mineral wine with plenty of character and a slippery, fine line of acidity. There is finesse and purpose here.”

93/100 (Cam Douglas MS)
“Very attractive bouquet of fruits and pungency, variety and power. Flavours of pineapple and fresh angelica leaf, red apple and gooseberry, nettles and white spice, coool stone minerality and fine lees. The acid line pulls everything together set in a medium- weighted style, sligthly saline with a fleshy note on the finish. Well made, and ready to drink from 2024 through 2027+.”
