Seresin Estate Chardonnay

He was Director of Photography on blockbuster movies such as Bugsy Malone, Midnight Express, City Hall and even some of the Harry Potter movies. These days Michael Seresin spends his time making blockbusters in the vineyard.

Think organics and wine and Seresin springs to mind. They have an almost obsessive approach to organically, hand crafted wine.

The vineyards are farmed biodynamically. That means soils are fed with animal manure, weeds and pests are consumed by cows, horses and chickens, and spraying vine leaves with teas made from local herbs and minerals.

This is their latest 2021 release and it’s a style the crew at Seresin describe as “A wine that leans towards the more complex, savoury styles of Chardonnay. Lifted mealy, flinty notes on the nose, develop into a smoky complex flavours on the palate. The wine remains poised with a slaty, mineral acidity on the finish and is bone dry.”
