OTU (pronounced o-two) is Otuwhero Estate and it’s named after the mighty Otuwhero River that runs through the lower valleys of Marlborough. This ancient river provides Otu with vineyards full of rich alluvial gravels and clay soils and along with its remote and rugged coastal setting it’s perfect for producing wines full of intense, ripe flavours!
Overseeing the OTU winery team is leading New Zealand female winemaker Anna Remond. Anna spent some 15 years with the world famous Oyster Bay winemaking team and has experience under her belt with vintages in Sancerre and Burgundy in France. Not only a bloody good winemaker, Anna is a mentor for NZ’s “Women in Wine Programme” supporting women to develop their careers in winemaking and reach their full potential.
This is their Otu Pinot Gris from the 2025 vintage and it’s a style the Otu crew say you can expect to “Relish the rich, honeyed & elegant OTU Estate Marlborough Pinot Gris. Succulent peach and spiced aromas balanced by pear & citrus notes burst from the glass.”
