Hold on to your hats ‘cos this incredible Pinot deal might just blow it right off! What was a $30+ Pinot Noir of real class has been slashed down to an unbelievable $19.99!
Made by Greystone in the Waipara, North Canterbury region, one sip and you’ll see this is a Pinot of obvious quality and complexity that you wouldn’t normally dream of picking up for twenty bucks and has the thumbs up from a swag of local critics…
93/100 (Bob Campbell MW)
“A supple, accessible, medium-bodied pinot noir with character and sophistication. It offers good value at this price ($29)”
5 Stars, 93/100 (Sam Kim)
“terrific fruit intensity and silky texture, finishing long and delicious.”
4 1/2 Stars (Michael Cooper)
“Fragrant and savoury, it is full-bodied, with youthful, ripe, plummy, spicy flavours, showing greater richness and complexity than most sub-$30 Pinot Noirs.”
This has had the treatment of a Pinot worth heaps more, clearly. We’re talking fermented in small batch lots with wild yeasts, hand plunged daily for a month, aged 10 months in French oak. It’s classy stuff.
Of course we’ve tried this one….several times, y’know just to be sure! We absolutely love it. With a few years bottle age under its belt already it’s drinking superbly right now but could easily cellar up until 2022. Grab a case now, you’ll be seriously glad you did.
